Imroatul Fuadah

Low physical fitness among pregnant women in Nambo Village is caused by a lack of knowledge regarding safe prenatal exercise. Research Objectives: To evaluate the effectiveness of the "IKHA" antenatal exercise music program in increasing the knowledge and fitness of pregnant women, cadres, and health workers. Research Methods: This study used pre-test, post-test, and physical screening via the Six Minute Walk Test (6MWT) on 6 pregnant women, 8 cadres, and 1 health worker from April 13 to May 8, 2026. Results: Initially, all pregnant women (100%) had "poor" fitness with a mean 6MWT score of 12.93±1.70. Post-intervention, maternal knowledge significantly increased from a mean pre-test score of 68.33±11.69 to a post-test score of 88.33±9.83, alongside improved cadre understanding. Conclusion: The structured IKHA antenatal exercise program effectively improves the physical fitness and knowledge of pregnant women, cadres, and health workers
toto aminoto

Background: According to the World Health Organization, older adults are classified into four groups: (1) middle age, namely individuals aged 45–59 years; (2) elderly, individuals aged 60–74 years; (3) old, individuals aged 75–90 years; and (4) very old, individuals aged over 90 years. The number of adults with hypertension increased from 650 million in 1990 to 1.4 billion in 2024, with most of the increase occurring in low- and middle-income countries. Increasing public awareness regarding hypertension and its prevention is important because hypertension may lead to complications such as stroke, kidney failure, myocardial infarction, heart failure, and visual impairment. This can be achieved through educational programs, hypertension exercise, and Tai Chi as part of hypertension control efforts for pre-elderly and elderly populations. Educational programs play an important role in improving public understanding of healthy lifestyles and complication prevention. Physical activities such as hypertension exercise and Tai Chi are forms of low-impact aerobic exercise that can help reduce blood pressure, improve balance, reduce stress, and enhance quality of life.

Objective: To evaluate and measure the level of knowledge among pre-elderly and elderly communities regarding hypertension, healthy lifestyles, and complication prevention, as well as to assess changes in blood pressure before and after the intervention through educational programs, hypertension exercise, and Tai Chi as an effort to control hypertension in the community.

Methods: This community empowerment program used pre-test and post-test screening to assess knowledge levels and changes in blood pressure. The sample consisted of individuals aged 45–75 years. Data analysis involved comparing scores before and after the intervention using statistical methods to determine the effectiveness of the program.

Results: There was an increase in the knowledge of the community in Nambo Village RW 01 regarding hypertension and a healthy lifestyle, with a mean pre-test score of (40,68) and a mean post-test score of (86,44). There was also a decrease in blood pressure values, with a mean pre-intervention of (154,76) and a mean post-intervention of (142,62) after the provision of health education, hypertension exercise, and Tai Chi.

Abdurahman Berbudi B LMohammad Ali

Pregnancy is a critical period that requires regular health monitoring. This community service program was carried out in Nambo Village, Bogor Regency, with the aim of improving the fitness of pregnant women through the use of the “Intensive Antenatal Physiotherapy for Safe and Healthy Pregnancy and Childbirth (FA IKHA)” digital app and antenatal exercise. Health activities included door-to-door screenings, fitness assessments using the Six-Minute Walk Test (6MWT), education on using the IKHA Digital app, and three sessions of prenatal exercise led by community health workers. The results of the activities showed an increase in pregnant women’s knowledge and participation regarding the importance of physical activity and self-monitoring of their health during pregnancy. The number of participants in the prenatal exercise sessions increased compared to the previous implementation, and health cadres demonstrated a good understanding of how to use the IKHA Digital app. The sustainability of the program requires the support of health workers, cadres, and the village government so that the benefits obtained can be optimally maintained.
toto aminoto
